Elaine Toland at Angels Gate Cultural Center

This Sunday, Elaine Toland's solo show opens at Angels Gate. We first saw her work back in 2004, as an entrant in that year's On Site at the Gate show, and we quickly developed quite a taste for it. I finally got to meet her yesterday, after her arrival from her home in East Oakland to deliver her work and begin installing the show, and she's as pleasant as her paintings.

An opening reception will be held, 2-4 PM, this Sunday, and she will be giving an artist talk at 3PM titled "Intimacy and Art".
