Yarr! Ships on the horizon!

Every two years, the wind brings a small fleet to San Pedro, in the form of Tall Ships. Powerful reminders of the power of trade, communication and exploration that marked the Age of Sail. The Tall Ships also take us back to the age all San Pedrans love at heart, the Age of Pirates. Although none of the ships coming into port will be raiding us, raping our cows or pillaging our women, I'm all gushy inside about the wood and canvas memories that are coming to visit us.

The ships will be in town tomorrow, August 11, through Sunday August 14. Enjoy them while they're here.
