That was a good show. That Kira Roessler sure has some stage presence. Watt always seems sort of awed in her presence, to the point of hitting the wrong notes every now and again.
I overheard one of the charity-event-organizing-type people telling Fred how much cash was in the donation jug after all was said and done. I won't say how much here, but it was pretty good for a brief show at a tiny coffeehouse.
Yeah. Outside of the Madonnabees (with Ron Dinkins on vocals), dos has always been my favourite Watt project. Kira is always a cool cat and their shows together have a real relaxed feeling, nothing forced or rote.
Good to hear that the kids are getting some dough.
