When Geraldine Knatz was announced as the new Executive Director of the Port, some anonymous blogger on Mayor Sam's Sister City commented "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
Come to think of it, Calamari, or someone else on this blog said the same thing about the new Harbor Commission, after the first couple of meetings.
Alas, with the overwhelming financial and political power of the forces that profit from the status quo, there is a great danger that this will be true.
We just have to continue to dig in and continue to defend our communities by whatever means necessary.
