From the Breeze

There have been a few articles in the Breeze worth checking out recently - here's the links.

Hernandez Ranch gets the article treatement in the Breeze. From the article:

Before all the huge container ships, before the trendy condominiums, before the trucks and the freeways, San Pedro's gentle, rolling hillsides provided a home for grazing goats, cows and dairy farmers.

Funny? None of the condos are built yet - perhaps the Breeze has access to a time machine and they mailed this article back to themselves from the future. Don't get ahead of yourself boys and girls.

Have there been altogether too many arrests in San Pedro recently involving large numbers of guns and/or explosives? Scott Arien Loverink, who was arrested last year after police found blasting caps in his home. FYI, he'll be out in six months due to a plea deal. Read more about his felony history at the Breeze.

Apparently Councilwoman Hahn has been accused of pushing around a security guard at a labor rally. Probably a non-story, but I find the mental picture of Janice pushing around a security guard rather comical and amusing. Read the full story in today's Breeze. Here's an earlier article about the picket itself.
