Meet your lords and ladies

I saw this fun costume oriented post over at LA City Nerd, to whom I owe the ispiration behind the post below.

You may or may not know it but San Pedro and much of the world falls under the old school dominion of the SCA. A mysterious group of tunic and pavilion enthusiasts who might prefer living in the middle ages to the world of today.

In the world of the SCA, San Pedro and the other costal cities are part of the Barony of Lyondemere, which itself is part of the Kingdom of Caid, which represents much of Southern California (or Modern Caid). According to their website, the Barony holds 10-15 events and gatherings every month, providing a busy schedule for those San Pedro and beach cities locals who need an outlet for their deep unfulfilled need to rock a crown and dine on mutton.
