Warschaw Gallery website

I don't know how I missed this, but apparently the Warschaw Gallery has a killer website, or so says The Aesthetic. Thanks, Garrison, for pointing this out.

With the closure of the gallery component of Walled City and the demise of the ill-fated THM gallery, the Warschaw is basically the only 100% art gallery (that is, it shows new works by artists, maintains some reasonable hours in which someone can visit, and actively promotes their shows and openings) in Downtown San Pedro. It's run by Ron Linden, who also helms the Harbor College art gallery, and is a kickass painter too boot. He's showing established Pedro artists who have long made up the core of the Pedro artist community, some before I was even born, as well as some incredibly talented out of towners.

Even though most of us will never buy a major artwork during the course of our lives, make it your business to patronize the Warschaw. They're at the corner of Pacific and 6th, right up the street from the Arcade building, and are open most afternoons, check the site for their hours. Their next exhibition The Collaborators, opens Saturday, September 9th.
