Squid, run for your life!

There are about 20 squid boats off the point tonight, which is unusual. Must be lots of free bait swimming around out there. Bad night to be a squid in San Pedro.

The boats are in an arc around the point in what my neighbor tells me is about 100 feet of water. It's quite a scene because squid boats shine bright green and white lights down into the water to attract the squid, and it looks like a crazy nighttime pirate parade out there or something.
