Mayor in Pedro today
Caught this item in today's LA Observed Morning Buzz:
The mayor will come out for Richard Vladovic in the race for the Board of Education's 7th district seat. Noon, outside the auditorium at San Pedro High School.
So if you feel like chilling out with the Mayor, you know where he'll be today.

HARBOR CITY
Branch library's debut is today
The Los Angeles Public Library will unveil its new $10 million Harbor City-Harbor Gateway Branch today.
The 14,650-square-foot facility near Narbonne High School replaces a library operated out of a rented storefront at 1555 Sepulveda Blvd.
Narbonne students can use the library because of a partnership agreement between the school and city. The school will run an after-school homework club there.
The library was funded with state and city bond revenue from Proposition DD, passed in Los Angeles in 1998, and Proposition 14, passed in California in 2000.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Harbor Area Councilwoman Janice Hahn, Narbonne 12th-grader Jackelyn Monante and others will appear at the 11 a.m. event.
The library is at 24000 S. Western Ave.
