Angels Gate Master Planning Meeting this Saturday
The first meeting (see thrilling master planning images here!)went really well, everyone seemed really supportive of the project, and I thought a lot of the community input was dead on, especially when it came to landscape and terrain issues.

The meeting is a continuation of the public process, which will result in a Master Plan for Angels Gate Cultural Center and the coastal Angels Gate Park. Stakeholders from the L.A. region are encouraged to attend and share your ideas regarding the future of this important cultural site. Your input is important!

Have you ever considered having a "taco truck" come to an event so folks could refresh with whatever they buy from the truck?
Perhaps there could be a rotation of trucks that normally ply their trade in downtown, to come and help folks attending events and activities at Angels Gate enjoy the fine food found on those trucks.
Perhaps LAPD would not bother with those very small businesses, and may even buy some food from them at Angels Gate.
I've tried to get several taco trucks to cater events. They seem generally uninterested in working at other times or places than their usual digs, though.
When I used to work for El Camino College, we had this amazing truck that served some really delicious food, but the college's Food Service program eventually managed to chase any and all competitors off campus and now you can't get anything resembling a meal after they shut down the cafeteria at 2 PM.
One of the most talked about ideas that's been tossed around for Angels Gate is having someplace to eat and hang out up here, where people can enjoy the view.
If you are ever near the corner of Lexington and Rodeo in the City of Beverly Hills, there is a truck that serves Burritos that folks on their way from as far as Orange County, driving into the S.F. Valley, will make the detour to get one of those Burritos.
As a former phone man in that area, I was able to make the trip to that truck many times and my waistline is one measure of the fantastic food from that truck.

Thanks for the tip. Is there a time of day or night that's best to catch the truck?
I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the conceptual drawings. Despite having a theatre, ~150 seat restaurant, and "campus" style buildings there was not one indication of where parking would be.
All in all, though, I'm glad that Angels Gate is getting the master plan it deserves and that public input is being sought after.
